Business Ethics

Business ethics is a system of moral principles applied in the commercial world (BNET.com). Business ethics offer guidelines for acceptable behavior strategically (long term) and daily operations (short term). Companies today have to focus on ethical business practices or else they will suffer the consequences of a negative image and a poor reputation. Today the media has publicized many acts which have been deemed unethical. All one has to do is reflect back on Enron and see how far some companies have gone. Today many colleges are integrating several kinds of ethics courses in their curriculum and business degrees also have heavy focus on ethics in many courses.
